Administrative Assistant Position Vacancy

 

Title: Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools and District Clerk

 

Reports to: Superintendent of Schools/Board of Education President

 

Start Date: July 1, 2026

 

Board Appointment Date: On or about May 12th, 2026

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Exercise absolute discretion and maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive personnel files, legal documents, and Board matters.
  • Communicate with poise and tact, serving as a professional first point of contact for district residents, staff, and the Board of Education.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of legal advertisements, collective bargaining agreements, district publications, and complex state/federal reports.
  • Be a proactive self-starter who can work independently to manage the day-to-day operations of the office.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to maintain complex filing systems and track multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
  • Possess technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and the ability to quickly learn state and federal reporting databases.
  • Maintain a flexible and adaptable mindset, with the commitment to attend evening Board meetings and navigate the high-demand nature of the work.
  • Display strong analytical and research skills, with the capacity to compile and synthesize data into clear, concise reports.
  • Show professional resilience and courtesy, remaining calm and effective while multitasking in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
